1/6/10 International Postage Now Offered

Following several requests we have decided to finally offer international shipping options on our delivery. This means that during the checkout process you will have to choose your shipping country from a drop down list. As a first roll out we have decided to focus mainly on the European countries but others are likely to follow in due course. If you want a product to be delivered to a country which is not on our list then let us know and we will see if we can add it to the list.

29/3/10 New Algaecide / Sanitiser / pH Test Strips Introduced

At Pool Test Online we are constantly developing our range of products and reviewing what we offer. Today we have added a new 3-in-1 pool test strip. Nothing new there except that this new test strip measures chlorine/bromine, pH and quat levels. Quat levels means algaecide so this new test strip is capable of measuring the pH, sanitiser level and the level of algaecide in your pool.

18/2/10 DPD Tablets - Extended Range

Building on the immediate success of our range of DPD tablets, Pool Test Online have now introduced an extended range of pack sizes for the main tablets in this range. We now offer all of DPD 1, DPD 3, DPD 4 and phenol red tablets in a range of pack sizes from 50 tablets up to 500 tablets.
Coupled with some very competitive prices, our extensive range of pool testing tablets now means that we offer one of the most comprehensive ranges of pool and hot tub testing products available anywhere in the UK.

12/2/10 New Algaecide Test Strips Launched

We are pleased to announce that Pool Test Online has introduced a new set of test strips. These test strips are for testing active oxygen levels in pools and hot tubs. Unlike most test strips on the market we have introduced a new test strip which measured the level of quats in the water. These quats come from the algaecide you put in the pool water therefore effectivly giving you a way of measuring the algaecide levels in your pool.

1/12/09 DPD Tablets

By popular demand we have added a range of DPD tablets to our extensive range of pool and hot tub testing products. The addition of the range of DPD tablets extends our range of pool testing products beyond just test strips and into other, more conventional areas of pool and hot tub testing.
For many, DPD tablets are the only way they test their pool water. During the last year or so we have had a number of enquiries for these products and as such decided to add them to our range.

28/7/09 Hot Tubs and Spa Baths

From time to time we get emails from people who have bought a hot tub (also called a spa bath) wanting to know do they have to test their water and are our products suitable. Hot tub water testing is just as important for the water in a hot tub, spa bath or whatever you like to call yours as it is in a swimming pool. Some would argue that hot tub testing is even more important than swimming pool testing as the combination of hot water and smaller volume means that the effects of the nasties can be even more pronounced. Whether this is true or not, the main point is that if you do own a hot tub then a hot tub testing regime is just as critical as your pool testing program if you owned a swimming pool.

The answer then is yes you do need to test the water in a hot tub just as you would in a swimming pool. Depending on your manufacturer, the chemicals you use might be different but the levels will still need to be monitored and adjusted just the same. Our range of products is suitable for most hot tub testing requirements but if you are unsure drop us an email and we will point you in the direction of what you need.

10/7/09 New Products

We are pleased to announce the addition of the first digital test meter to our range of pool testing products. The eXact® Micro 7+ is a leading and innovative pool and spa testing solution. By analysing specially treated test strips, highly accurate readings of up to 26 different parameters can be measured. This meter comes as a kit with a number of test strips included. Replacement test strips can be purchased as and when required.

If you are serious about your pool or spa then you will agree that regular water testing is a must. If this is the case then the eXact® Micro 7+ pool test meter is a crucial addition to your regular pool maintenance regime.

1/6/09 New Prices

Following our reduced prices during April and May, as mentioned in the note below, June 1st sees our prices returned to almost their previous levels. Many of you have taken the opportunity to buy your annual supply of pool testing strips during this period. The prices showing now are our prices for the foreseeable future. We have no immediate plans for another sale of pool test strips in the near future.

We have massively cut our prices. As a special promotional offer, we have slashed our prices for April and May. From June 1st, our prices will revert to our original or near original prices so take advantage of the price reductions and buy your pool and spa testing strips while they are cheap.
